Florida RB now has 7 offers
"I'm glad spring is over because I was banged up with a thigh bruise," Roshard Burney said. "I played the spring game but we got blown out. I couldn't go hard and our O-Line is still a work in progress. Avery (Young) is still out. I'm getting ready for some camps now." Burney talked about the latest with recruiting. "I have seven offers now -- Rutgers, FAU, Cincinnati, Memphis, Buffalo, Georgia State, and Middle Tennessee. I'm also talking to West Virginia, Illinois, and UCF. West Virginia is probably gonna pull the trigger real soon and UCF may too. It's all about even right now, I don't have a favorite. The only camp I know for sure will be Rutgers and I might check out USF, FAU, and Miami too." As a prospect: Burney is a big, strong back who gets a lot of tough yards in between the tackles. If you're looking at 3rd and 2, Burney is especially your guy. He runs with good balance and leg drive and can get those tough yards inside. He doesn't have blazing speed but he keeps the chains moving and has the athleticism to make some things happen in the open field. He should attract some Division 1 attention in the coming months and become one of the top RB prospects in Palm Beach County for the 2012 class.
