Mix is looking to be a leader for one of the top prospects in Mississippi, South Panola. They produce top prospects on a regular basis and Mix is one of those in the class of 2013.
"I have offers from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Southern Miss right now and a lot of other schools are interested. I am not really thinking too much about those offers right now, I know it is pretty early."
Although he is not close to a decision, the 6-foot-4, 305 pound offensive lineman does have an early top two.
"Alabama is number one and Mississippi State is number two," he said. "I like the offense Alabama runs, I like the atmosphere over there, and the fans there are die hard. I camp there every summer and it is great."
"At Mississippi State, I really like the way they communicate and how the coaches work together. I visited them last summer and I liked it over there."
The recruiting process has officially started for this soon to be junior and he is excited about the opportunity he has to go through it.
"It is crazy when I think that I have scholarship offers now. I have been waiting for this for a while and it is like a dream come true for me. I just have to keep working, make sure South Panola stays successful, and things will work out well for me. I am just happy to be in this position now."
