He sounds so calm for a high school student that has over 40 scholarship offers. He gets calls on a regular basis from people asking him what school he is going to and then he has coaches from across the country fighting for his attention.
That doesn't bother him.
"I am thankful to be in this position. It can get a little crazy at times, but it is still fun. I know I have a tough decision to make, but I look forward to making it."
Right now, there is one school sitting in the spot so many others want to be in. That school is the University of Florida.
"Florida leads for me right now," said the 6-foot-5, 280 pound tackle out of North Carolina. "I feel at home there and I really get along with the coaches and players very well there. I have good relationships with a couple of coaches there including the head coach Will Muschamp too. I really feel good about Florida."
So who else is out there to challenge the Gators for this tackle?
"I have some plans to this summer to visit South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee. I am really interested in Texas too, but I may have to wait and take an official visit there. It is a lot farther away than the other schools. I have some interest in a few more, but those are the main ones besides Florida right now."
Humphries plan is to take all five of his official visits during the season and then make his decision on television in January.
"I have been pretty set on committing at the U.S. Army All-American game. I should have time to get all of my visits in by then and my plan is to commit at that game. I think it would be a great experience."
