SEC Offer for Bell
Torrey Bell profile Torrey has been on the move a good bit this week as he takes in some SEC Western division programs. "I went to LSU earlier this week," said Bell. "I worked one-on-one with the defensive line coach (Brick Haley). I feel like I did a good job. "They told me they were impressed with how I did and they want me to come back again in July." Positive feeback from the Bayou Bengals is always welcome for south Louisiana prospects and Torrey is no different. "Growing up I have always been a Tigers' fan," said Bell. "I have always followed them." The Bulldogs of Mississippi State got the chance to host Torrey and his mother on Friday. "Mississippi State was real impressed with me," said the talented defensive end. "They had a lot of good things to say. "After the camp was over, I got to tour the campus and then go and meet with Coach Mullen in his office." Before leaving Starkville, Torrey got some important information from the Bulldogs' head man. "Coach Mullen told me that they were offering me a scholarship," said Bell. "I was real excited about that. Mississippi State was one of my top schools, so that really excited me." The New Orleans standout is wrapping up his weekend over on the Plains of Auburn. "I am at Auburn today," said Torrey. "I am working hard to get an offer. "I came here last year and they seemed to be impressed with me, so I am hoping they offer me if I have a good day." With offers from Mississippi State, Southern Miss and a few in state programs, Bell is considering a summer time decision. "I am looking for a place where I can play early," said Torrey. "I want to go somewhere that I can feel comfortable and feel like I am part of a family. "I am thinking about making a decision sometime this summer before the season starts."
