Rod Crayton visits SEC school
"The visit to Auburn was good," said Rod Crayton. "I thought they were going to offer me though. They want me to come back to their camp. Hopefully in July I can get an offer from them. "Coach Boulware said he is interested in me. Coach Chizik was saying I am a big guy, and they want me to come back to camp. The defensive line coach said he hasn't seen my highlight tape yet." Crayton's interest in the Tigers remains very high. "I think Auburn is a good palce to play football," he said. "It's all right down there." Crayton has reeled in scholarshp offers from Florida Atlantic, Memphis, Ole Miss and Mississippi State. Several Dadeville teammates have competed in camps and visited schools this summer. Among the stops have included Alabama, Arkansas State, Auburn, Memphis, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and UAB. The only camps where they did not participate included Alabama, Auburn and UAB. "I would say out of the camps we attended I liked the Memphis camp," said Crayton. "I like coach Dubose. He really likes me a lot. I liked working with him. He coached coach Harrison. They have a good relationship, and coach Harrison respects him. I look up to coach Harrison. I really like the way coach Dubose coaches." Crayton visited Tuscaloosa last week, but he is not hearing much from the coaching staff. "They really aren't saying too much to me right now," he said. "I really don't know what their deal is right now. I don't think they have seen my highlight tape. They really want me to come to camp." Crayton doesn't list any favorites, but a couple of out-of-state SEC schools have grabbed his attention. "I like the indoor facility and the campus," Crayton said of the Ole Miss Rebels. "I like the coaching staff there," he added about Mississippi State. "I like the campus around there too. They show me a lot of love."
