San Diego, Calif. - Joseph Cook of Bishop Amat is a receiver for the Class of 2013 who will warrant some looks from colleges in two sports.

Joseph Cook is a 6'4/185 pound receiver for Bishop Amat who was a standout at San Diego State's 7v7 over the weekend. He is relatively inexperienced on the gridiron as a two sport athlete, but he is long on potential.

"I also play basketball," said Cook when asked about his extracurricular activities at Bishop Amat. "I play for the school and Prodigy in AAU."

As a member of the Class of 2013, Cook hasn't begun to get the recruiting attention that he will, but if he continues to progress on the football field, he'll have plenty of options.

"I'm really open to anyone right now, but I like USC, Stanford, Florida State, Cal, San Diego State, and Oregon. My dad went to USC."

Cook is an outstanding student who carries a 3.9 GPA. The bigger question for him might eventually be which sport he wants to play. After a long pause, Cook answered "Basketball is still probably my favorite, but I want to go with my best opportunity."

Wish size, skill and grades, Cook may have a lot of opportunities in the near future.
