Kirven says no favorites, a lot of visits
Lynchburg (VA) Brookville High defensive lineman Korren Kirven is a highly-touted prospect with double-digit offers. He claims no favorites but points out, "schools I like are definitely the in-state schools. I like Stanford, Colorado, Tennessee, Alabama, Maryland, Notre Dame, Rutgers, North Carolina, Duke and NC State." "I am just trying to narrow down my list," he adds in hopes of making headway by the end of the summer. And as he does, he will pay a visit to "Maryland this weekend, Oregon around July 5th, Rutgers before that, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia Tech and Tennessee in July and Notre Dame and Stanford the last week of July." With his goal to visit every school that has offered him, Kirven has already knocked off visits to Virginia Tech, Virginia, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Duke and Tennessee. The standout lineman might not divulge which schools standout but he does tell us what conferences excite him most. "I like the big conferences like the PAC 12, SEC and ACC. They are all really good conferences." A 6-foot-4, 260-pound frame, the majority of the SEC is recruiting Kirven as a defensive end while other programs see him as a defensive tackle. "It doesn't matter where I play or what scheme I play. I can play a 3-4 or 4-3 scheme. I can play anywhere on the line. It all makes no difference to me."
