Chris Humes likes SEC
"I haven't been to any summer camps yet," said Chris Humes. "My team did go down to Alabama's 7-on-7 camp this past weekend. I felt like I well down there. "I talked to coach McElwain and coach Pruitt. They told me they are very interested in me. They want me to come back down for the July camp." Humes has several scholarship offers including a new one from the Big East. "Right now I have offers from Auburn, Mississippi State, Kentucky, Louisville, Cincinnati, Southern Miss and UAB," he said. "Cincinnati offered in the spring. The two schools recruiting me the hardest are Alabama and Mississippi State. "I definitely am going to attend the Alabama camp. I want to go to LSU, Mississippi State, Clemson and maybe Louisville. I want to go to every camp I can." The 6-foot-1, 200-pound defensive back likes two in the SEC. "Alabama is wanting to build a relationship with me," he said. "They want to get me down to T-town as much as I can. It's only a 45 minute drive for me. "Alabama has a lot of tradition. I am from the state of Alabama. I like what they are doing down there. They keep reloading every year. I would love to be a part of a program that wins. I feel like I can become a great DB under coach Saban and coach Pruitt. "Mississippi State has a great coaching staff. I really like the schemes they use on defense. Their coaching staff has a lot of experience. They have nice facilities and a beautiful campus."
