IMG 7on7: Brian Poole
Brian Poole profile Brian recently committed to the Florida Gators. He is still getting used to the idea of playing in the Swamp, but he is doing his part to represent his future team in every way. "The reason I committed was because of my position coach," said Poole. "Coach Robinson and I have a real good relationship and I feel like he really keeps it real with me." A new era has dawned in Gainesville and there is a lot of excitement around Coach Will Muschamp and his staff. Brian reports that the new look Gators really appeal to him. "The staff is awesome and they have a lot of pro coaching experience," said Poole. "Everybody seems to really know what they are doing up there." Spending time on the sidelines holding up a pair of crutches is not what Brian considers a good time. The sunshine stater is ready to get back into the action. "I broke my ankle in the spring game," said Brian. "I get my cast off on July 1st and then I start rehab after that. "I had a good spring before I hurt my ankle. I had a good game in the spring game." Despite his commitment to the Gators, some schools have continued to recruit him. Some of those programs have even picked up the pace. "Some schools have picked it up and some have backed off," said Poole. "Florida State, Alabama and Miami have picked it up the hardest. "I am still solid to Florida. I am actually working on getting Dante Fowler to go to Florida with me." For now Brian's main focus is getting healthy for the season. "I am not going to any camps or anything like that," said Poole. "The man thing I am working on is getting my rehab done, so I can be 100% for the season."
