Daniel Bostick talks recruiting

Daniel Bostick, three-star middle linebacker from Birmingham-John Carroll, Ala., has been to several camps this summer. He is still searching for his first offer, but a few schools are possibly close to pulling the trigger.

"I have been to Mississippi State, North Carolina, Duke and South Alabama," said Daniel Bostick. "I may go to Southern Miss. I am also thinking about going to the UAB camp.

"I'd say the school showing the most interest in me is Mississippi State. They have been saying they like me. They said I am high on their board. They said I was No. 8 on the board.

Bostick traveled to several major camps, but it was an in-state school which grabbed his attention.

"I liked the South Alabama camp the most," he said. "I liked what the inside linebackers coach taught us. It was easier because it's the same stuff we do. I understood it. The coach told me he likes the way I play. They told me to keep up the good work."

The 6-foot-2, 209-pound recruit is looking for an opportunity to play college football.

"I really don't have any favorites," said Bostick. "I just want to get an offer from anyone. I want to get it started. I will go from there."

Bostick focused on improving this past spring and continues to work hard this summer.

"This spring I tried to improve my speed," he said. "I have gained weight and have to adapt. I am trying to improve my strength. I feel like I got better at tackling and taking better angles towards the ball. It's just having experience. I got better at reading the offense."
