The Temple Owls have taken a little bit of a different approach since Steve Addazio took over as head coach, focusing on grabbing local talent and keeping them at home on North Broad Street. On Thursday they picked up prospect with a big upside in Damiere Shaw.

Damiere Shaw is a prospect who may not have had a lot of offers when he committed to Temple today, but Scout.com has followed the 5-foot-10, 170-pound athlete closely for years now and we’re confident had he waited it out another six months, he would have attracted some big schools at receiver and corner.

For Shaw, it wasn’t about the “big school impact”, but where he felt most loved and most comfortable as he explains in his interview with us below and that is why the Owls will most likely end up with what we feel will be an All-MAC player down the line.
