Oxford High already has two FBS commitments this year, with offensive tackle Collin Goetz heading to Central Michigan and linebacker Prescott Line set for SMU.
They may not be done yet though, as safety Matt Economou is a good sized, hard hitting safety who has good tape despite missing much of last season.
"I played in six games," the 6'1, 190-lb Economou said, "but the whole time I played, I had a cast on my hand. I wasn't 100%. I am 100% now."
That allowed him to hit a few summer camps already to get his name back out on the recruiting radar.
"I am hearing from colleges actually. I just had a camp at Eastern Michigan. I've gone to Central Michigan, Western Michigan, and Holy Cross. I was asked to go to the Toledo one, but I wasn't able to go because I tweaked my hamstring."
The Chippewas, who already claimed Goetz, have told Economou they will be watching him this season.
"I talked to the head coach (Dan Enos), and we talked about keeping in contact in the season. They want game film from the beginning of the season and keep communication with me."
What helps him in his recruitment, is that with his size and run support skills, a position switch could happen for him down the line.
"Yeah, they're all recruiting me as a safety, but a lot of them have said that a good position for me in the future would be outside linebacker, because of my size, but they said they'd recruit me as a safety and maybe move me in the future."
