Mission Viejo (Calif.) offensive lineman Austin Maass has made his college choice.
The three-star picked San Diego State over Colorado.
“I was really impressed by (offensive line) Coach (Dan) Finn during their camp, and when I went down for an unofficial visit last week, I got to spend some more time talking to him as well (head coach) (Rocky) Long.
Maass is part of one of the best offensive lines in the Southland, with three D-I prospects up front for the Diablos.
But he's the first of the big boys to make a decision.
"My relationship with my position coach is really important to me, and I felt really comfortable with Coach Finn and the San Diego State program,” said Maass.
An all-league and all-CIF pick, Maass is a three-star guard by scout.com.
