Currently holding offers from Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Notre Dame, USC and a host of other powerhouse programs the Yulee (FL) standout is a wanted man.

Derrick Henry checks in at 6'3 and 230-pounds from Yulee (FL) Yulee high school. He has a rare blend of vision, power and quickness combined with a 230-pound frame. Henry has rushed for over 5,200 yards and 65 touchdowns in only two years of high school football. It's numbers like this that have attracted attention from Will Muschamp, Nick Saban, Jimbo Fisher and Mark Richt.

If you have any doubts that Derrick Henry is one of the top overall players in the class of 2013 this highlight tape vs. powerhouse Bolles might change your mind.

Henry has a huge size advantage but does not consider himself a "Power Runner," In fact it's the one thing he mentioned to me he wants to work on heading into his junior season. Throughout his first two season's he has been much more comfortable turning it outside where he can use his devastating stiff arm against would be tacklers. Henry has deceptive speed with his long strides and has plenty of speed once he see's daylight to take it to the house.

Make no mistake about it the University of Florida is the team to beat as they have been the front runner for as long as I can remember. Henry has great relationships with the Gator coaching staff and is excited about what lies ahead with the new pro-style attack of offensive coordinator Charlie Weis. New running back coach Brian White coached former Heisman trophy winner Rod Dayne and Henry is well aware of that fact.

One team that might be able to dethrone Florida for his services could be the University of Georgia. Close friend and quarterback Bryce Ramsey (2013) Kingsland (GA) Camden county is a shoe it for Athens and it's only a matter of time. Having said that however Henry will tell you he is going to make the best decision for him and his family regardless of what Ramsey or any other prospects end up doing.

Derrick Henry has a clear cut leader heading into his junior season and it's the Florida Gators. In talking with Henry at great lengths wherever he ends up announcing he will go on the offensive in the recruiting game and try and get as many top players to join him. Right now it's shaping up to be a Border War between the University of Florida and University of Georgia. Ironically enough the Gators are recruiting Henry the most followed by the Bulldogs.

Derrick Henry will be a Five Star RB.
