"Right now I have offers from UAB, South Alabama, Memphis, Georgia State and UT-Chattanooga," said Clay Machen. "I have received interest from Mississippi State. I went to camp at Clemson and Georgia Tech. They are showing interest. Auburn has shown interest. Middle Tennessee has sent a lot of mail. "I went to camps at Clemson and Georgia Tech. I also went to a Southern Miss camp they held in Atlanta. I am going to Mississippi State and maybe Florida State in July." Machen was impressed with the camps at Georgia Tech and Clemson. "Clemson and Georgia Tech were both pretty cool," he said. "I had a real good camp at Georgia Tech. I learned from the coaches. I learned their playing style. I really liked the campus tour. It was a real good day. I had a good time at Clemson as well. The facilities were really nice." Georgia Tech has not offered, but they are the favorite. "I like the academics for sure," said Machen. "My parents want me to graduate with a real good degree. The school is amazing. I really like the coaches there. I love facilities, conference and town. "The coaches are writing letters. When I talked to them they said the reason they haven't offered is because only taking two offensive linemen this year. They are waiting to evaluate some other prospects."
