TE feels at home at Miami
Guito Ervilus put his name on the recruiting map as a junior last season. He caught 20 passes for 312 yards and scored three touchdowns. At 6-foot-3 and 235 pounds, Ervilus is now trying to recover from a torn ACL. "My rehab is coming along good and the doctors are saying I should be ready by the 8th week of the season so I'm holding out hope that I'll be able to play some," he said. In the meantime, Ervilus has emerged as a major college prospect. "I have 30 offers right now," he said. "They're from schools from all over. The ones I like most right now are Florida State, USF, Kansas, Miami, Ohio State, and Georgia. Those would be the top six right there." Do any of those six stand out above the rest? "Yeah, Florida State and Miami," he said. "I just really like then whole atmosphere at Florida State. I feel like I fit in well there. Miami just makes me feel at home. It's the U. Look at what they have produced. I've been talking to their coaches and building a good relationship with them." So what will the standout tight end prospect be looking for in a school? "Which school will take best care of me," he said. "I wanna go to a school with a good graduation rate and a good rate of putting people into the pros. And I wanna play in a pro style offense to help prepare me."
