Florida DB claims five offers

Denzell Hayden is a standout DB prospect from Nease High.

Denzell Hayden finished his junior season with 100 tackles, three forced fumbles, and he scored three touchdowns on offense. A prep linebacker, he projects as a safety in college.

Hayden, 5-foot-8 and 180 pounds, claims five offers.

"I've gotten offered by Clemson, South Carolina, USF, FIU, and UCF so far," he said. "I've also been talking to Georgia Tech, FAU, and Wake Forest."

Hayden says three schools currently stand out to him.

"The ones I really like right now are South Carolina, Georgia Tech, and Clemson," he said. "I'm hoping Georgia Tech offers me. They're all even right now, until I take my visits later on."

So what is the standout DB prospect looking for in a school?

"I wannna find a school where I fit in well at," he said. "I wannna go to a good team and a group of players and coaches that know how to work hard. Basically, I just wanna fit in."
