Marcell Harris on FNL and More:

One to Watch

One of the top players in the Southeast for the class of 2013 is safety prospect Marcell Harris, the son of former Gator great Mike Harris.

Harris checks in at 6'1 1/2 and 200-pounds from Groveland (FL) Southlake High School and is hearing from the likes of Florida, Florida State, Tennessee and Texas to name a few.

Harris was on hand to participate during Friday Night Lights and was very impressive. He has great size, ability and work ethic. He is quick enough to play some corner but make no mistake his natural position moving forward will be that of a ball hawk safety. He grew up liking the Gators and with his family ties the Gators have a huge advantage moving forward. He has yet to even understand how good he can be but does not lack confidence once the competition begins. Every major program will offer Marcell Harris before it's all said and done and he will be one of the premier defensive backs in the Southeast for the class of 2013. Don't expect to see the Gators go after or offer many defensive backs at all in 2013 but Marcell Harris will no question be one of the very and I do mean very select few. Harris talked about expectations for Friday Night Lights and recruiting.
