LaFrance Looking to Commit?
"I'm visiting SMU, North Texas, Baylor and TCU this weekend," said Royce LaFrance. "I'm looking to commit somewhere this weekend. "North Texas, which has offered, is highest on my list. They're having a camp, but I'm probably not going to perform. I'm just going to visit. "Coach (Jeff) Reinebold at SMU says they'll probably offer after they look at the film of my game against Belle Chasse. I'm bringing the tape of that game to them." LaFrance has also been hearing from Baylor. "Coach (Carlton) Buckels has been messaging me every week," said LaFrance. "He wanted to know why I didn't make it to their camp. When I told him I was coming to Texas this week, he said to make sure I come by Baylor and meet the coaching staff. "I think they'll probably offer. I'm going to compare the different schools and see where my mom and myself feel comfortable." Last weekend, LaFrance camped at Mississippi State, along with fellow New Orleans metro area prospects Ryan Brown (Archbishop Shaw), Torrey Bell (John Curtis Christian), Marcel Andry (St. Augustine) and Quadry Antoine (Belle Chasse). "It was nice. I liked it out there," said LaFrance. "My didn't really feel it, though, and I didn't get much of a chance to talk with their coaches." LaFrance and Antoine (who are cousins) are arguably the two most punishing defenders in Louisiana.
