Jonathan Curry, three-star tight end from Phenix City-Central, Ala., recently visited Wake Forest. He talked with Andrew Bone about his five official visits and the finalists for his signature.
"I went to
Wake Forest
a couple weeks ago," said
Jonathan Curry
. "I am finished with everything for now. I am just focused on my senior season.
"We went up to Wake Forest just for a visit. We saw the campus and met with the coaches. I wanted to get a good feel for the campus.
"The visit was very nice of course," he said. "The academics are great. It costs $55,000 a year to go there. One of the main things I noticed was it was small, but really nice. Overall we liked it and were very impressed. We liked what all they have to offer."
Curry had hoped to make a decision before September, but the time-line has been changed.
"I had initially planned to commit before the season," said Curry. "I am going to take official visits now. I want to make sure about my decision. Once I commit I will be finished with everything.
"I have scheduled my first official visit to
Purdue
for October 1. They are playing
Notre Dame
. I also plan to visit
Louisville
,
Vanderbilt
, Wake Forest and
Nebraska
. Those are my finalists."
Curry added a little more about the top schools.
"Those five schools had everything I am looking for," he said. "They use the tight end a lot. They all have great academics. I have a good feel for the campus. I like the coaching staffs and feel like I can play early."
