Carlos Watkins (6'4/280) is a 4-Star defensive tackle that plays virtually everywhere for his Chase High School team in Forest City, N.C. during the course of one game against East Rutherford, Watkins lined up at middle linebacker, both defensive end positions, defensive tackle, fullback and believe it or not, wide receiver.

With his size and athleticism Watkins is an ideal candidate to play defensive tackle or possibly even a strong side defensive end in a 3-4 alignment. It's not surprising that Watkins doesn't have a lot of refined pass rush moves considering his tendency to bounce all around the field during a game, but what he does show is exceptional upper body strength. He uses his hands well to control and dismiss the defender in front of him. Although he tends to play a little high, he uses his hands and superior arm length to keep an offensive lineman from getting into his chest.

Recruiting: Watkins has offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Notre Dame, North Carolina, North Carolina State, and South Carolina among others.

Here is a look at him in action from his last game as a junior against East Rutherford.
