Friday …well, she was able to get away, and that is why the 5-foot-10, 185-pound Reeves is making his announcement then. It will be at 10 a.m. at his school.
"I'm excited for it," he said. "This way I can get ready for my senior year."
Reeves is being recruited to play either receiver or cornerback, and as a punt and kick returner.
Penn State: "They've been recruiting me for a while now. They've been interested since the process started, and they have my major at the school, which is computer science, and the coaches are all great guys and coach Paterno is a legendary coach.
"And hanging out with some of the players, and getting a whole feel for the campus, it felt really good. It's a place I could see myself at for four years and getting a great degree."
Reeves added there is a uniqueness to how Penn State wants to use him.
"Both sides of the ball, and returns," he said.
Notre Dame: "A Notre Dame degree, you can't really get any better than that. I know it will be very challenging, but any great school is going to be very challenging. They want me to play either side of the ball, wide receiver or corner, because they have a need for it.
"They have a great coaching staff. All those guys …coach (Bob) Diaco, coach (Brian) Kelly, they've really turned that program around in bringing in some top guys. For my class, they already have some top guys. I've talked to them, and they really want me to play with them.
"It would be exciting to be with those guys there, and playing for Notre Dame, it would be playing for one of the top-notch programs in the country."
Michigan: "I always liked Michigan a lot. I love the coaches. I love the whole campus atmosphere there. It was really great when I went to go visit. They want me to play corner.
"Playing for Michigan, and having coach (Brady) Hoke there, and turning the program around so quickly, it would be really neat to go play for the elite team of Michigan, as I call it. It would be really cool to be part of that …and getting the program back to where it usually is."
