Devonte Mathis (6'1/204) is a versatile athlete that sees time at quarterback and wide receiver for his Miramar team, often in the same game.

Mathis is a big, strong runner when he carries the ball out of the backfield, and he is equally as imposing as a receiver muscling smaller defenders out of the way for a catch in close quarters.

Mathis is a strong, if erratic arm, and he's capable of making some terrific throws while missing some of the easier ones. He's closer to college ready as a receiver, but his physical skills present an intriguing option should a team want to give him a shot at quarterback. He certainly has the armstrength and poise in the backfield to play quarterback on the next level.

Recruiting: Mathis claims offers from the likes of Florida State, Ohio State, USF, Wake Forest, West Virginia and more.
