ScoutTV's Britton Lynn caught up with Hendrickson (Pflugerville, TX) High School Head coach Chip…
DE Plans Iowa State and Rice Visits
Profile: Kingsley Ike Profile: Iowa State Profile: Rice So far, the 2-Star recruit said he either wants to visit the Cyclones during their Texas game on October 1st (Iowa State's Family Weekend) or visit Ames the weekend of the Texas A&M game on October 22nd (Iowa State's Homecoming). Both dates will make for an eventful weekend. Ike said he is deciding between the two weekends based on which is better for his parents. Ike is also still working on the logistics for his official visit to Rice. Ike said he has specific things he is looking for in each of the schools during the visits. "At Iowa State I want see how the facilities look and how the town is," Ike said. "I want to see how the coaches are at Iowa State and how they play against some good Big 12 South teams. At Rice I want to see the recruits that have recently committed and I want to see how they play this year. The head coach, Paul Rhoads, told me they will be a lot better, so I want to see for myself." Ike has also been busy this summer preparing for his last season of high school football. Hendrickson High School's first scrimmage is on August 19th against Seguin High School. And the Hawk's first game of the season is on August 26th at Vista Ridge at 7:30 p.m. "I'm definitely most excited about making big plays for my team on Friday nights and celebrating with all them," Ike said. "My goals for the season are to make All-State, get 80 tackles, 15 sacks and make a run in the playoffs. I also want us to win all of our rivalry games."
