Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey athlete Michael Robert is still waiting for his first offer, and he’ll have numerous opportunities to show this fall what he can do.
Robert plays receiver, defensive back and does the kicking for the Dons, considered one of the top challengers for the City Section title this year.
“I’ll be playing in the slot, kicking and starting both ways,” said Robert. “With Marvin (Hall) and Joe (Gray) gone, we need everyone to step up on offense so I’ll get a lot of chances there.”
Robert said several schools have been in contact, and will be watching his first few games.
“San Diego State, San Jose State, SMU, Oregon State, Boise State, Fresno State and Cal have all talked with me,” said Robert.
Robert said he’s open to any position.
“It all depends on the school but I’m open to anything,” said Robert. “I’m getting recruited really as an athlete.”
Academically, Robert has a 2.8 and will take the SAT in October.
