Top Prairie State prospect OG Ryan Callen had a busy summer on the camp circuit.
"My summer went well," Callen said. "I had a chance to have a nice camp circuit and made it out to a lot of different one-a-days."
He added, "I feel like I opened a lot of coaches eyes and let them see what I could do."
In early May, Callen had one offer – now he has ten.
But he credits his summer for more than just expanding his offer sheet.
"I camped at Purdue, Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, and Minnesota." Callen said. "My junior highlights are mostly defensive line because that's where my team needed me at, but most colleges want me as an offensive lineman."
He continued, "So at these camps I really got to show the schools how I had improved physically and how I was developing into a better offensive lineman."
Plus he is generating interest from plenty of BCS schools.
"I really liked Cincinnati and I still keep in contact with them," Callen said. "They liked me at their camp, but they have offers out to the offensive lineman and they are waiting to see what the other prospects do."
He added, "I also know that Purdue and Illinois wanted my senior tape, so if I choose to wait to commit – they will be getting my tape."
Another school that will receive Callen's tape? Minnesota.
"I think my favorite camp was Minnesota," Callen said. "I did the late night camp and it was under the lights. The atmosphere at the camp was really awesome, and I think that was one of my best camps as far as performance."
"I do still talk to Minnesota," Callen said. "The situation with them is similar to the one with Cincinnati."
