Posted Aug 19, 2011 takes a look at the Big Sky (Alaska, Idaho and Montana) state player rankings...

The Big Sky region encompasses the states of Alaska, Idaho and Montana. While the depth of talent in these states is absent, there is some top end talent to be found. No prospect in the country raised his stock over the summer as much as Eagle (Id.) quarterback Tanner Mangum. Mangum was named MVP of the Elite 11 and showed very well at “The Opening”. College football fans will have to wait a few years to see the quarterback, as he plans on going on his mission before enrolling at BYU. Butte (Mont.) defensive end Cody Carriger is the other highly rated prospect in the region. The 6’6” 230lbs prospect is committed to play at Oregon.
