Ace Wales carried his team to a 47-34 victory Saturday over Goodpasture Christian. Wales carried the ball 27 times for 261 yards and five rushing touchdowns. Wales also returned an onside kick for a touchdown, bringing him to six scores on the day.
Travis Elliott
Running Back – 5-11, 215
Ryle
Ryle cruised to a 43-8 victory over Tates Creek Saturday behind a great game from senior running back Travis Elliott. The Western Kentucky commitment had 164 yards and four touchdowns on 21 carries. Elliott only carried the ball one time in the second half.
Kim Hyde
Kicker
Christian County
Christian County had a big win over Clarksville High, 38-21 Saturday evening. But while the victory was a run-of-the-mill game, kicker Kim Hyde became the first female to make a field goal in a CCHS varsity game. She made a 27-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.
Travis Wright
Quarterback – 6-1, 205
Louisville Trinity
Travis Wright continued his onslaught over Nashville schools with a huge night in a 66-17 win over Montgomery Bell. Wright had 336 yards and five touchdowns. He complete 16 of his 17 pass attempts in the victory.
Zeke Pike
Quarterback – 6-5, 230
Dixie Heights
Dixie Heights fell to Covington Catholic 56-35. Auburn commit Zeke Pike was 22 of 36 for 336 yards and three touchdowns. He also added a rushing touchdown in the defeat.
Scooter Hollis
Quarterback – 6-1, 175
Bowling Green
Bowling Green High romped over 6-A opponent Henry Clay Friday night, 35-14. The Purples were led by senior quarterback Scooter Hollis who completed 19 of 24 passes for 281 yards and a touchdown.
Blake Bir
Quarterback – 6-2 190
Covington Catholic
Covington Catholic had a monster comeback victory on Friday against Dixie Heights. Junior quarterback Blake Bir had 257 yards and three touchdowns, while completing 16 of his 22 passes.
James Quick
Wide Receiver – 6-1, 190
Trinity
Junior receiver James Quick had a big game against Montgomery Bell. He caught nine passes for 153 yards on the night. He also totaled three touchdowns in the contest, helping his team to a huge win.
Spencer Sumpter
Quarterback – 6-2, 185
Pleasure Ridge Park
Pleasure Ridge Park had another huge victory Friday night when they soundly defeated Valley High 55-0. Junior quarterback Spencer Sumpter had 253 yards and five touchdowns in the first half, before sitting out the remainder of the game.
Nacarius Fant
Wide Receiver – 5-11, 160
Bowling Green
Necarius Fant had a strong performance for Bowling Green in their big win over Henry Clay High. The sophomore caught ten balls for 156 yards and a score in the victory.
Goose Cohorn
Wide Receiver – 5-10, 190
Dixie Heights
Goose Cohorn had another solid outing, catching passes from Zeke Pike. The senior had ten catches for 163 yards and a touchdown in defeat for Dixie Heights.
Caleb Pope
ATH – 6-0 180
Nicholas County
Nicholas County had a monster comeback Friday night against Fleming County, winning 46-45. They were led by senior back Caleb Pope who ran for 262 yards and six touchdowns.
