Creel Holding Steady
Industry (Pa.) Western Beaver safety/wide receiver Dustin Creel currently holds one offer from the Toledo Rockets. "I liked it at Toledo a lot," Creel said. "The coaching staff there is real cool. I have a good relationship with Coach (Jason) Candle. They like me at wide receiver, but it all depends on how much bigger I get down the road. They offered me after I was at their 7-on-7 as a wide receiver." Toledo Head Coach Todd Beckman has made a very lasting impression on Creel. "Coach Beckman is the one who actually told me I had the offer," Creel stated. "I like him a lot, he is a very down to earth kind of a guy. He is very assertive, but his players love him." Connecticut has shown varying degrees of interest in Creel. "They have shown some interest here and there," he said. "I talk to Coach (Joe) Moorhead and he is from Pittsburgh. He went to Central Catholic, we talk a lot about Pittsburgh and the area. They want to wait and see how I do my senior year and then make a decision." The West Virginia Mountaineers have also been showing interest in Creel. "I went to a camp down there at the end of July," he stated. "I have been talk to them a lot since. They like me on defense at safety." Creel has shined at every camp he has participated in and having one offer if frustrating to him. "It does kind of tick you off," explained Creel. "I knew someone would find me eventually and offer. You just have to be you and keep making plays." Creel and his Western beaver teammates scrimmaged Riverside last weekend. Creel scored two touchdowns, one on a 50-yard run and a 25-yard touchdown catch.
