The Texas 10 (9-5-11) takes a look at the Top 10 prep teams in the state of Texas. There were no changes at the top, but we preview Week Two, which features a slate of games that will surely bring changes.

Zero Week Rankings | Week One Rankings

1. Katy (2-0)
2. Allen (2-0)
3. Euless Trinity (2-0)
4. Lake Travis (2-0)
5. DeSoto (1-0)
6. Brenham (2-0)
7. Longview (2-0)
8. Cibolo Steele (2-0)
9. Denton Ryan (2-0)
10. Southlake Carroll (2-0)

After another exciting week in the non-district, but all of the top teams won convincingly, so there were no changes amongst the Top 10 teams, but that will not last long because #2 Allen will be traveling to #7 Longview for what could turn out to be the non-district game of the year.

It will have be a spectacular game to overcome the zero week battle between Aledo and Stephenville, but the Bearcats will have the chance to possibly claw back in to the rankings with a Friday night win over #4 Lake Travis. The Cavaliers will be trying to avenge last year's loss. Both of these teams won the 4A (DI and DII) State Championship last season.

Another game to keep an eye on is the match-ups in the Kirk Herbstreit Classic. Both Dallas Skyline and Denton Guyer have been playing solid ball so far in 2011 and have been seriously under consideration for the Top 10 already. Skyline will square off against Cocoa (Fla.) and Guyer will have an in-state power tilt with Cedar Hill. With a win either team could move up over the Longview/Allen loser. Recommended Stories
