Being a Michigan Man is more important than a scholarship, he tells Scout.com's Allen Trieu…
Allen Takes a Visit
It was not a bad weekend if you're Kenny Allen. The Fenton punter-kicker hit a 45-yard kick game winner on Friday, then went over to Michigan for a visit with the Wolverines on Saturday. "I loved it," he said. "It was awesome. That was actually my first game at Michigan. It was great. It was filled up, which was awesome, and the crowd was into it and everyone seemed happy and excited." Allen had a chance to speak to the coaches, and they told him where they stand as far as taking a punter in the 2012 class. "I talked Coach Singletary, just a little bit, then I talked to Coach Ferrigno, the special teams coach. They said that they're really pursuing me and just have to find out what they're doing right now with the punting situation, because they don't know for sure right now if they'll be using a scholarship for a punter or not." Allen, who holds an offer from Oregon State, is unsure if he will take any more visits. "I've been invited to all of Indiana's home games, but I don't know what I'm doing yet." He says he has also recently heard from Miami (FL), LSU, and Alabama, who he visited over the summer.
