"Auburn and South Carolina are the schools that have offered me," said Brian Walker. "I am also hearing from Duke and North Carolina too, but only two offers so far."
He says only two offers, but he knows more will come if he continues to improve.
"It feels good to have offers already, but I know I still need to put in the work to get where I want to be. I want to be the top Division I corner out there and that is what I am shooting for. If I am that, I will have plenty of offers."
One of the schools that have offered currently lead for the junior out of Mallard Creek. He feels comfortable there.
"South Carolina is on top right now. I think they are a very welcoming school and I love the direction that their football program is going. They are looking to win and I like that."
What South Carolina and the other schools that have seen Walker have to like is his size. He is a 5-foot-11, 175 pound corner, but there is more to like than that.
"I think schools like how I play physical and how I can recover so well. I have good catch up speed and I can hit too. I want to do everything well, but those two things would be my biggest strengths right now."
Mallard Creek defeated Berry by a score of 42-14 on Tuesday night to move to 3-0. Walker says Mallard Creek does not plan on slowing down.
"We just want to keep winning and win a state championship. That is all we have talked about since the end of last season."
