Ducksworth Is A Dawg
Lelland Ducksworth says he wasn't sure how the whole commitment thing worked but he was sure where he wanted to make his pledge. "I called up coach Hughes and I asked him how this committing thing worked. I wasn't sure how to do it. Coach Hughes started explaining the whole thing and I told him to stop because I didn't think he understood what I was trying to do. Finally, I just said, 'Coach, I'm a Bulldog.' He was really excited and we laughed about it." Ducksworth says he was able to let a few other MSU coaches know of his intentions. "It's so exciting! I got to talk to coach Mullen about it and also coach Wilson. I told them I am committed. It's great to get this off my chest." Now Ducksworth says he has one focus only. He is concentrating on his high school team. "I am completely there for my team now. I don't have to think about recruiting anymore because I've made my decision and I'm not turning back. I like that." Ducksworth is visualizing his future while living in the present. He imagines himself in a Mississippi State uniform on the next level and he is looking forward to making that dream a reality. "I'm from the country and I'm not a city boy or anything. I just like how everyone at Mississippi State is so nice and friendly and I know that's the place for me. It's like home there. I am looking forward to taking my talents to the field and playing in the SEC for Mississippi State." Ducksworth makes it 18 commitments for the Bulldogs in 2012.
