BALTIMORE -- Class of 2013 quarterback Shane Cockerille signaled his arrival on the high school scene when he rushed for 247 yards and three scores on 15 carries. He also threw for a score, and was on hand, and brings you the game footage.

Quarterback Shane Cockerille transferred from DeMatha Catholic (Hyattsville, Md.) to The Gilman School (Baltimore), and he quickly showed he would make an impact in the 2013 class.

Cockerille is hearing from Notre Dame, Maryland, Kansas State, Iowa and West Virginia.

Schools will begin taking a harder look at him as his tape gets out, and while he is not a polished passer, he is very good at reading his keys in the spread offense and running the ball.

Cockerille ran 15 times for 247 yards and three touchdowns, and did so displaying very good vision, acceleration and toughness. He also threw a touchdown pass, but at this point his passing isn't as dangerous as his running prowess.
