Bain Looking for Big Season
Bolingbrook HS (Ill.) OG Robert Bain is ready for a breakout season. "I have like ten division one offers right now, but they are all mid-major," Bain said. "Last season I only played at 250 pounds, and now I am 290." A big difference that plenty of programs are taking notice of. "Basically all the big ten coaches I have been talking too," Bain said. "I think after this game I will send my early season film out." And some of the places that will receive his film? "I have been talking to Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, and Northwestern," Bain said. "And they are all really interested. So depending on what they say when they see my early tape I might get offers from them." Until then, Bain is going to continue doing exactly what he has been doing. "I just put a lot of work in during the off-season," Bain said. "I've been working on getting bigger and stronger and trying to fire out towards the ball." Other then nabbing a few more offers – the Bolingbrook, Ill., standout has clear goals for his senior season. "I have been working on technique for the most part," Bain said. "Because at high school you are physically above everyone but once you get to college everyone is big and strong and you have to work on the little stuff." Bain has offers from Ball State, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Colorado State and others – but isn't planning on committing anytime soon. "After my film gets out I will see what offers roll in," Bain said. "And then take all my visits, and then I will commit probably after season or close to signing day." Stay on Scout.com for the latest on Bain and the rest of the Class of 2012.
