Trinity has picked up where they left off one year ago and it has been steamrolling the opposition. So far the offense has scored 128 points and is closing in on 1,000 yards rushing.

Griffin Gilbert has established himself as one of the premiere players in the state as his four touchdown performance would indicate. The offense is clicking right now and the defense is as tough as ever.

5. DeSoto (3-0) #24
This team will be right in the thick of the State Championship hunt. The defense might be the most talented in the state and there is a lot of speed on offense. Like 7-on-7, this could be the year for the Eagles.

Brenham is out with a renewed focus this season and has its eyes set on making up for an early round playoff letdown from last year. Will they be able to stay focused or will the pressure be too much?

7. Dallas Skyline (3-0) #43
Skyline is coming in to the rankings with two big wins under their belt since the last time that the rankings were updated. They outmanned Cocoa High (Fla.) and then steamrolled a very talented Arlington Bowie team.

8. Cibolo Steele (3-0)
Quarterback Tommy Armstrong is a proven winner who can beat you throwing or running. They have earned two tough wins in the first three games and now look to get the team ready to capture the District Title.

9. Denton Ryan (3-0)
One of the most ferocious defenses in the state and the offense has also managed to put plenty of points on the board, behind the blocking up front. The defensive front features players going to Florida State and Baylor.

10. Coppell (3-0)
Coppell has a well-rounded football team. The defense can de dominating at times, but when they are playing poorly the offenses has been there to lift the team up. A young squad, which should continue to improve week by week.
