2013 QB Hearing from Several Schools

Connor Mitch

Connor Mitch of Wakefield High School in Raleigh, N.C is one of the top junior quarterbacks in the South. He had tremendous sophomore year, throwing for 3,300 yards and 35 touchdowns. Mitch discusses his recruiting and more.

"Recruiting is going well so far," said Connor Mitch (6'3/210). "I am wide open right now. Some of the schools that I have heard from are Auburn, Alabama, Mississippi State, Wisconsin, Kentucky, North Carolina, NC State, Virginia, Florida, Florida State, and Notre Dame."

Mitch has already visited North Carolina (offer) and Florida. He said he enjoyed both visits and already has a few more in mind.

"I am going to Florida State this weekend. I also promised Coach Bible at N.C. State that I would come to game and I am going to go down to Auburn," he said.

Although the Wolverines' star is a long way from making a decision, he knows what he is looking for in a school.

"The main things are coaching staff's stability and the coach's background of developing quarterbacks," Mitch said.

Mitch has picked up where he left off last year. Wakefield is 4-0 and averaging 47 points per game. He has thrown for nearly 1,200 yards and 12 touchdowns. The junior signal-caller currently bench presses 250 pounds, squats 265, and runs the 40 yard dash in 4.8 seconds.
