USF commit has SEC visit set

Chris Bivins is a standout cornerback prospect from Gainesville High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Chris Bivins talked about his senior season so far.

"Our seasons going real good, offense is going great, they're not throwing the ball my way very much," Bivins said.

At 6-feet and 170 pounds, Bivins committed to USF over the summer and remains that way.

"I chose to commit to USF because I love the atmosphere there, they were the first to offer, it's a great up and coming program, and they have some of the best coaches in the NCAA."

Despite the commitment, Bivins said a few other schools are still recruiting him.

"Kentucky, Arksnas, Iowa State, Florida, and NC State are still calling me about coming," he said.

The standout cornerback prospect has already taken one visit and has one other one scheduled.

"I'm going to Arkansas October 8th, I already went up to NCST, and I might go to South Carolina. I just need to get the date for that one."

Inside the classroom Bivins claims a 3.5 GPA and a 20 ACT score.
