Scout Presents the Stars of the South, Louisiana Edition. We'll share with you the top performances from week four in the Pelican State.

  • Otha Peters: LB - (6-1, 210) - Covington

A Tennessee commitment, Peters collected an impressive 17 tackles (14 solo) in his team's loss to crosstown rival St. Paul's. The senior is averaging nearly 15 stops per game and has hit the double-digit mark in all four contests. Peters also has three sacks.

  • Ricky Wyatt: LB - (5-10, 230) - Neville

Wyatt notched 16 tackles and carried three times for 20 yards as Neville moved to 4-0 on the year with a win over Carroll. The Tigers are ranked near the top of all Class 4A polls. To top it off, Wyatt was named "Mr. Neville" by his classmates.

  • Dshaie Landor: QB - (6-0, 170) - Teurlings Catholic

The UL (Lafayette) commitment completed 29 passes for 358 yards and five TDs and added 163 yards rushing with another score in his team's wild (63-53) setback at Calvary Baptist.

  • Davante' Bourque: RB - (6-2, 200) - Crowley

An LSU pledge, Bourque gained 226 yards on 17 carries as Crowley won its second straight game. Bourque has exploded after being limited to under 60 yards in a season-opening loss to Comeaux. Expect plenty of fireworks this week when Bourque and Crowley face Teurlings Catholic and Landor.

  • Brandon Wilson: RB - (5-11, 185) - Calvary Baptist

Wilson ran for 302 yards and three TDs (including a 78-yarder) in his team's shootout win over Teurlings Catholic. Shortly after the game, the senior picked up his first offer from Grambling State.

  • Landon Collins: S/RB - (6-0, 205) - Dutchtown

The nation's second-ranked safety continues to get it done on both sides of the football. Last Friday, Collins rambled for 179 yards on seven carries with four touchdowns as Dutchtown handed Zachary its first loss of the year.

  • Daijuan Stewart: WR - (5-10, 175) - West St. Mary

There's some confusion over Stewart's stat total from last Friday, but it's clear that the SMU commit could not be contained. According to Stewart's coaches, he had 404 yards receiving with six TDs in West St. Mary's 72-22 romp over Kaplan. The Lafayette Advertiser credited Stewart with 272 yards receiving and 85 yards rushing. At any rate, West St. Mary is 4-0 after winning a total of three games in 2010.

  • Trevon Stewart: RB/DB - (5-9, 185) - Patterson

Stewart - cousin of Daijuan Stewart - racked up 202 yards rushing on nine carries for the undefeated Lumberjacks. He also registered three tackles and broke up a pass. Stewart is committed to Houston.

  • Carlton Perkins: RB - (5-10, 180) - Walker

Walker won its first game of the year behind Perkins' ironman (30 carries, 373 yards, six TDs) effort. A junior, Perkins also caught an 11-yard pass, recorded eight tackles, and picked off a pass. He goes head-to-head with Daijuan Stewart this week when Walker travels to West St. Mary.

  • Davante Williams: RB - (5-11, 180) -- St. John-Plaquemine

Williams ran for 168 yards with two TDs, hauled in three receptions for 79 yards with another score, and even completed a 41-yard pass in his team's 48-38 loss to Brusly.

  • D'Andre Dartez: RB - (6-1, 200) -- Cecilia

Cecilia came up just short in a 37-33 barnburner vs. Eunice, but Dartez had a heckuva game nonetheless, ripping through the Eunice defense for 175 yards rushing and a touchdown. He added four receptions for 62 yards and two more scores. Dartez was very impressive at the Lafayette NUC over the summer.

  • Brandon Bergeron: QB - (6-3, 195) - St. Thomas More

In the fact of a constant blitz from Evangel Christian, Bergeron calmly and precisely shredded the Eagles' secondary for 285 yards and four touchdowns.
