Michael Lindsey talks decision
"I committed to Troy on Saturday," said Michael Lindsey. "I was down there for a visit when they played Middle Tennessee. They had offered me the previous week. One of their coaches then came to my game on Friday. I said if I am at your game tomorrow against UAB consider me a commitment.
"I was at their game Saturday, and I am now a commitment. I just really liked it there. They have a good school.
"Troy recruited me to play in the slot. Other schools were recruiting me as a defensive back. I wanted to play on offense. It's close to home, and my family can come watch me play."
Lindsey was recruited by outside receivers coach, Shayne Wasden.
"I went to Troy's camp when I was a junior," Lindsey said. "Coach Wasden always liked me. This summer I went to their camp and did really good. I think coach Wasden is a great guy. I feel like he will take care of me. I think he will be another father-figure like my head coach, Scott Riles."
The small school standout has helped his team to an undefeated record (6-0) and No 1 ranking in Class 2A. Lindsey has scored more than 20 touchdowns this year.
