SMU is riding a wave of success after knocking off TCU this past weekend and that good fortune carried over to recruiting when in-state OL Seaver Myers announced he was going to sign with the Mustangs. He is commitment 16.

Seaver Myers, a 6-foot-6, 280-pound offensive lineman was relieved to find the program that fits him best for his future.

After receiving offers from colleges like Louisville, Colorado, Iowa State and Utah the three-star offensive tackle decided that SMU was the spot.

"I just committed to play football at Southern Methodist University and it feels great," exclaimed a happy Myers! "SMU Mustangs all the way baby! From being a Friendswood Mustang to a SMU Mustang! Once a mustang always a mustang!"

Myers will be happy to play the rest of his season without the pressures of having to search for a school.

"Feels like 1000 lbs just got lifted from my shoulders..."

Myers is the 16th known commitment for SMU for the Class of 2012 and is the first listed OL commit.
