Focus 2013: Ja'Taveon Green
Ja'Taveon Green, a 5-foot-8, 160-pound speedster has become the got to receiver so far in 2011 for Garland High. Thus far he has been a major playmaker and has hauled in 15 receptions for 474 yards and four scores. "It is feeling great," Green explained. "It is a new beginning. I am just trying to work hard and show everybody that I can play." Green thinks his best strength is being a good teammate, but he also likes to use his wheels. "Helping my team getting yards and blocking – don't like to get hit, so I just use my speed to get around everybody. The class of 2013 prospect reports he has been clocked with a 4.45 40-yard dash. He is starting to get some correspondence from programs. "I get letters, but I do not have any offers," said Green who is getting mail from Oklahoma, Kansas, Alabama and Oregon. Texas Tech was also at the school to scout him in a game. Green would like to play in a high profile offense in college and that is why two programs stick out the most early on. "Oklahoma or Oregon," Green said when asked what two programs have his early eye. "I just like their offenses, their offensive coordinators and how they do things."
