Recruits Weigh in on the Recruting Process
Sean Irwin: TE 6'3 220-pounds Cypress (TX) Cy-Fair High School Colorado Verbal "I learned how strict it was with all the rules. The one thing that shocked me the most was the amount of coaches that I was contacted by and how interested they were in me." Irwin was injured but should be playing again in about two weeks. calib alexander: RB 5'9 170-pounds Ocala (FL) St. John Lutheran High School "I learned that it's not like a video game where you can just pick a school and commit anytime you want. You have to reply to q questionnaires quickly and reply to all coaches that contact you in a timely fashion. I got a call from Stetson University's head coach and that caught me off guard because that was the first head coach that I have talked with." Blake Fromang: OT 6'8 280-pounds Orlando (FL) Lake Highland High School Vanderbilt Verbal "The most valuable thing I learned was to be patient. I was about to commit to allot of colleges that I saw this Summer while I was there. My mom kept me patient and now I am going to the school that's perfect for me. I honestly wasn't thinking about Vandy at first but I did some research after my visits and it hit me. I would be crazy not to go to Vandy. Education is top notch and it's SEC football. A new coach with a vision and I absolutely love Nashville so it was a no brainer for me." Kendall Ehrlich: OLB 6'2 200-pounds Pearland (TX) Pearland High School Baylor Verbal "I learned not to believe everything you here. Dont get caught up in everything people tell you." James Ellison: DT 6'2 280-pounds Hamilton (GA) Harris County High School 2013 "I have learned that you got to watch what you say and be open to everyone. I am surprised at how the coaches really come after you and all the offers from the big D1 schools." Elijah Daniel: DE 6'3 240-pounds Avon (IN) Avon High School 2013 "I learned that there is allot of good players out there and you always have to work hard." On his trip to the University of Florida this past weekend. "Oh man it was amazing. I was hyped up jumping around ready to get out on the field and play. I really liked it." Ben Weaver: OLB Klein (TX) Klein High School Boise State Verbal. "You get to learn all the hard work and effort truly does pay off. You never really expect to see coaches on TV then one day your talking to them on the phone."
