Scout Post Game: Bralon Addison
Bralon Addison profile In the 21-14 win over Elkins, Addison was 9-of-16 for 113 yards passing and rushed for 159 yards on 20 carries and a touchdown. How do you feel after this win? Addison: This game was very emotional. We played Elkins. People from Elkins…I am best friends with Chance Allen, Corey Thompson and Mike Matthews, and there are guys (Thompson, Matthews) going to college with me on that team. It's an emotional night. People in the stands know each other and this is a big rivalry game. We were lucky God blessed us with the win tonight. Thoughts about your game performance? Addison: I feel like I played an okay game. There were a lot of things I missed out there. I could have done a lot of things better to help my team, but overall I'm happy we got the win. Plus, I'm feeling great and healthy. And I am glad to have my boy Josh Wilhite back. You were effective in moving in and out of the Elkins defense. How are you able to do what you do on the field? Addison: To be honest, I have to give the defense the credit on that one. A lot of guys they don't rush me because they don't want to lose contain and let me get outside of the pocket. That's probably when I am most dangerous. But you know last year when we lost to North Shore that was probably the first time I ever had a defense do that to me. It's very confusing and I have been trying to get better at that. People give me time and I need to make sure and make the correct reads to get the ball to our playmakers and wide receivers. Talk about your commitment to Texas A&M. Addison: I'm still solid. I understand that people go through troubles. We have been having some tough weeks that last two weeks. You know when come out strong in the first half and it's like we don't come out the locker room with the same intensity in the second half. But that's not discouraging because I feel like coach (Mike) Sherman is a great coach and he'll get that turned around. Any programs still recruiting you? Addison: At this point, nobody has really been contacting me. I've been so solid that I am not hearing from anybody, which is fine. I'm just keeping my head on straight and not worrying about what is going on at A&M. I'm just focused on Hightower. When are scheduled for your official visit? Addison: We were supposed to have my official the weekend of the Oklahoma State game, but it was kind of hectic so we rescheduled for a later date. It will probably be after the season some time.
