Dylan McDorman, a 6-foot-2, 290-pound defensive tackle from Wichita Falls Rider High was one of the players who jumped out during Thursday night's match-up with Denton Ryan High. Rider would lose the contest in heartbreaking last second fashion, but the stout defender showed all night long that he was the type of player colleges should be interested to recruit. He played with good leverage and a no quit attitude, so it was no surprise to find out after the game that he had a D1 offer and had just made a commitment to play at "North Texas" The Mean Green is getting a spirited defender who finished his junior season with 12 sacks, 26 tackles for loss, and two blocked punts. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The news broke that Mario Edwards, a 6-foot-4, 270-pound defensive end from Denton Ryan High would be taking his first official visit to Texas one week from today when the Longhorns host the Oklahoma State Cowboys. It also looks like according to some sources close to Edwards' recruitment that he will be taking a visit to Oklahoma on 11/5 when the Sooners will square off against Texas A&M. He also has plans to visit LSU and Florida State (school he committed to), so the visit to Norman should end up being his second or third official trip. Edward's is rated as the number one prospect in the state for the Class of 2012 and all of the schools will pull out all of the stops to get him on the roster. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Jake Raulerson, a 6-foot-5, 240-pound offensive tackle was one of Scout.com's early selection for the Class of 2013 Top 100 and he has racked up some impressive early verbal offers. He has secured over 20 offers with Oklahoma, Alabama, Texas A&M, Michigan and Florida as some of the marquee names topping off the early scholarship list. So far on the season Raulerson has helped his team off to a 6-0 start. In last week's win over Pilot Point the four-star helped pave the way for over 600 yards of offense and eight touchdowns. He had one fumble recovery, four sacks, four tackles for loss, 16 total tackles and four pancake blocks. Raulerson has been on multiple visits so far this season. He was recently in Norman for the game between the Sooners and Missouri and will be in attendance at this afternoon's game Red River Rivalry game between OU and UT.
