McKay picks UTEP
MeKale McKay is off the board and headed to UTEP. The 6-foot-5, 195-pound receiver will also play basketball for the Miners. MeKale McKay showed enough skills as a junior to earn early offers from Kentucky, Louisville, Indiana, UCF and UTEP. But the Moore receiver didn't want to focus all his skills on football. He was also interested in playing on the hardwood, where he's a standout for his high school. He had picked up offers from IUPUI, Tennessee Tech, Georgia State and Evansville. UTEP basketball coaches said he would be able to play basketball as well and that was enough for McKay. McKay committed to UTEP's football program and will be walking on to the basketball team. McKay is also a native of Houston (Tx.), so he will be closer to home as he leaves Louisville and heads to El Paso.
