Apollo junior Hunter Bivin possesses great size (6-foot-7, 280-pounds) but he is a player who is putting forth the effort to become a better player in every facet of the game.

"I feel like I'm doing a better job of finishing plays, getting after people and going whistle to whistle and one second after," he said.

Apollo has struggled this season with a 2-5 record. But that hasn't stopped Bivin from playing hard and setting his sights on victory.

"I feel that I've played a solid season so far. I worked hard this off-season on my strength and agility and can tell a big difference," said Bivin. "My goals are to win as many games as possible. That's my objective right now. Nothing else matters if we don't win games," he continued.

While winning for his school is a top priority, recruiting is still moving along for Bivin.

"I'm talking with Notre Dame, Michigan, Mississippi State and Kentucky the most. I speak with coaches from Alabama, Auburn, Oregon, Wisconsin and Nebraska from time to time. I have taken visits to Notre Dame, Michigan, Kentucky and Wisconsin so far and have more (visits) planned," he finished.
