For a couple of weeks, Oceanside (Calif.) lineman Grant Bays had been toward between Oregon State and Boise State, having visited both the schools.
On Monday, he was torn no more.
"Grant committed to Oregon State yesterday," said his mother, Christina. "We just love the coaches and the family feeling up there."
Bays took his first official visit to Oregon State and then visited Boise State, then went underground, emerging when he picked the Beavers.
His family was thrilled with his choice.
"We're really glad that Grant decided on them," said his mother.
Bays said when he took the visit, he loved his time in Corvallis.
"It was great and it was a lot of fun," said Bays, after his visit. "It was a good experience. It was like a big family up there."
Bays becomes the second Oceanside linemen to commit to the Pac-12, joining teammate Eduardo Middleton, who last month picked Washington State.
