Although he is tucked away in Northern Wisconsin, almost to Michigan's upper peninsula, Northland Pines High School running back Austin Ramesh is still being found by colleges.
At 6'2, 215-lbs, he has excellent size and put on the tape from his last two seasons and you will see touchdown run after touchdown run, many in a beautiful wooded setting that only those Northern schools can provide. Now Ramesh is hoping he can do same thing on Saturdays, as schools have started contacting the junior star.
"I've gotten some [mail] from Wisconsin, Michigan State, Purdue, Nebraska, and I got some e-mails from Oregon, Hawaii, Boston College, and I can't think of them all right now, but those are some of them."
Last summer, Ramesh went to a couple of camps and combines, most notably the one in Madison.
"I went to the Badger camp. It was good. They said general things to everybody, but they didn't say too much to me."
Also a linebacker, Ramesh worked out as a running back in front of Bret Bielema and company, and says he had a great experience.
"It was fun, well organized. It was a camp that anyone can go to, but a lot of people get invited and they sent a letter inviting me to it."
In addition to his gridiron exploits, Ramesh also plays hockey.
