Hall Adds Another

Jeffrey Hall

St. Charles Catholic (LaPlace, La.) defensive back Jeffrey Hall heads up the secondary of the top-ranked Class 3A St. Charles Catholic Comets. Today, Hall added a new offer and another could be on the way. Read further to get the details.

"North Texas offered today," said Jeffrey Hall. "They called my head coach, told him they really like my film, and said I know how to play my coverages. It feels good to get a new offer. I'm excited. Coach (Justin) Gaines from North Texas and Coach (Jay) Sawvel from Minnesota both came by the school last Friday to get film. Minnesota is supposed to give me a call this week."

Hall attended North Texas' game at UL (Lafayette) last week. He holds offers from both programs.

"It was nice - real nice," he said. "That was my first time at UL. Coach (Tim) Rebowe told me, "There ain't no place like UL.'

"He also asked me how I liked the crowd. They're doing real good, and I don't see them losing again (the Cajuns' only setback was to Oklahoma State). They aren't pressuring me for a commitment. They're just going with the flow. I've told everyone I'm probably going to wait until December to commit somewhere. I don't have any favorites. Coach Rebowe is the safeties coach and the cornerbacks coach (David Saunders) also writes me."

St. Charles Catholic is thriving after moving up from Class 2A to 3A. The Comets -- ranked No. 1 in 3A by the Louisiana Sportswriters Association -- blew out previously-undefeated Port Allen last week, 48-0. Hall impressed Scout.com National Recruiting Analyst Greg Powers over the summer with his performance at the Nike Football Training Camp in Houston.
